Hello, Launchpad Creative friends and family! Let me introduce myself. My name is Sara Bergeron, and I’m so excited to say that I’m the newest member of the Launchpad Creative team.
I’ve always been the type of person who’s been excited to see what the future holds. The unknown excites me rather than frightens me. That being said, as a young 20-something freshly out of University, my life is currently comparable to some of the world’s busiest intersections. Like standing in the middle of Young and Dundas in Toronto, or Broadway and 7th Avenue in New York City, life is hitting me full force, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all the options and possible directions it can take.
Since graduating from Laurentian University in Communication Studies last spring, I’ve been standing in the middle of these intersections. I’ve been excited but also confused about what my next step should be now that I’m no longer enveloped in the comforting and all too familiar embrace of school.
A few weeks ago, Launchpad Creative presented itself as a new opportunity. Hesitant, only out of fear that I wasn’t prepared to take all the knowledge I acquired through my years of study and use it in “real-life” situations, I knew it was a leap I had to take.
Since my early years in high school, I always knew I was meant to have a career in the creative industry. I’m so thankful for this new position at Launchpad, and I’m looking forward to learning as much as possible from my teammates, as well as bringing a fresh new set of skills to the table.
Stay tuned for more updates on my journey, as I slowly get used to what some might call “adulting”.
