Till Our Paths Cross Again

Hi Launchpad family and friends,

Well, today is the day.

With a bittersweet feeling in the pit of my stomach, I’m packing up my desk at the Launchpad office and saying goodbye to this amazing bunch of weirdoes.

For those of you who don’t already know, I’ve received an amazing offer to do my Masters of Communication (MC) at the University of Ottawa. Two things you may or may not know about me: I love new adventures and I LOVE school (yes, I give you permission to call me a nerd if you’d like). So after giving it some thought, I decided to accept the offer and obtain my Masters degree!

Moving to a new city, studying what I love, meeting new people… it’s all so exciting. But if I’m being totally honest here, with all this newness coming my way I can’t help but think about how grateful I am to be part of the Launchpad team (yes, okay, even though I’m moving away, I’m always going to consider myself as being part of the Launchpad team).

So without being too corny or sentimental, I thought I’d list a few of the day-to-day shenanigans I’ll miss from the Launchpad headquarters while I’m away in our Capital city.

Things I Will Miss:

  1. Cliff’s sing-song-y mood, where he decides to narrate his actions by singing out loud.
  2. Jason’s outbursts of excitement when he loves a new concept or design.
  3. Alysha’s giggles from behind her computer screen (she may just have the cutest giggle you’ve ever heard).
  4. Rohana’s facsinating stories about his home in Sri Lanka
  5. Cliff’s in-office dance moves

BUT most of all…

  1. I’ll miss working with this incredible team of humans.

You spend so much of your time at work that it’s such a privilege when you get to truly enjoy and be inspired by the people who surround you.

So as I head into this new adventure, I want to thank all of my Launchpad family – Cliff, Jason, Rohana, Alysha, Miranda, Sandy, Kim, Shawn, and Sean, for inspiring me and allowing me to grow with you. Most of all, thank you for your support and encouragement towards my future endeavors. You’ve all made this transition period so much easier for me.

I want to give a special shout out to Cliff (a.k.a Boss Man – ok this name has never actually caught on, but I did try to push it for a while) for being who he is, and for being such an amazing mentor.

“Can’t wait till our paths cross again.”

Thanks for reading,
